We arrived in Foxborough at Normandy Farms Campground after a five day drive from Mount Pleasant.

We stopped twice for two days after our drives around Washington and New York. Those drives were long and stressful days and you need a day or two to recover. But it was cold at both the South Philadelphia and Newburgh NY KOAs. We picked them as locations to stop not as great places to stay. Both are small and compact – the NY one is very tightly wound through trees and woods – it’s not a big rig friendly park. We would not stop there again but honestly there are few alternatives near NYC. It’s probably better to make it into Connecticut where there are a few more parks.
This is our first time at Normandy Farms Campground and it’s beautiful and well staffed. Everyone is very friendly and eager to help.
We are enjoying this RV campground more than we expected and we understand why it is one of the top ten in USA. It’s location offers access to The Cape as well as Boston. As long as one avoids commuter travel times. And we are here as spring takes hold and the crabapples, lilacs, azaleas, and dogwoods are all bursting with blooms. The landscaping at this park is superior to any we’ve seen. We drove around the park one day to check out all the sites as well as the cabins, yurts and glam tent spaces. Areas for children abound – baseball and soccer fields as well as basketball courts and tennis not to mention wonderful playgrounds for the younger set.

We see why many people make Normandy Farms their summer hot spot. The farm itself was founded in mid 1700s and campground established in 1971 – this tear is their 50th anniversary. A Christmas tree farm is still part of the property.

So yes we would recommend this campground whole heartedly. And we will make it our “go to” stop in Massachusetts whenever we visit family and friends here.
