Goblin State Park

A little know state park our tour wagon master told us about. A long ride on our way to Moab but worth the stop. The geological explanation is obvious – stronger rock resistant to erosive forces remained after the weaker layers were peeled away – but I prefer to think of them as tiny magic figures who visited the area unescorted and lost their way home – thus their presence in the middle of rough hewn plains and plateaus between other grand geologic formations.

Sentries at the road into the park.

This group looks like a crowd of bald heads bowing…

Family groups out for a picnic at the park.

Bishops looking down from the pulpit.

Mushrooms guards at the edge keeping a faithful watch.
